Across Southeast Asia, the energy transition is being negotiated in policy rooms at ASEAN, in national ministries and in financing forums. Too often the communities who live with both the impacts of fossil energy and the promise of renewables are absent from those rooms.
I-JET works to change who shapes that policy. As a co-implementer alongside Oxfam, Fair Finance Asia and the Asia Network for People's Energy, CANSEA co-convenes regional JET networks, advances community renewable-energy access and the productive use of energy, and carries civil-society positions into ASEAN processes.
