CANSEA Regional Coordinator facilitated the First Panel Discussion on the morning of 12th October.

CETDEM’s Anthony Tan participated in the 3-day workshop. He reported on behalf of the Regional Coordinator during the wrap-up session held at late morning of 14 October.

At the end of the workshop, the consensus of the workshop participants was ‘CDM does not reduce emissions!‘. However, it was also agreed that CDM cannot continue to exist (as a stand alone mechanism) if the Kyoto Protocol ceases to remain in force.
